Cupping
Cupping is just another aspect of
Chinese medicine. This method is used to stimulate acupuncture
points by applying suction and partial vacuum created by
heating up the cups. You can use wood, metal or more often
glass jars are most commonly used.
Cupping can be safely used for aches
and pains such as backache, sprains, or soft tissue injuries.
It is also beneficial for relieving fluid from the lungs during
periods of severe chest infections or chronic bronchitis. The
cups can be left in place over specific points on the body,
mainly the back or used in conjunction with oil to produce a
relaxing massage effect on tired tense muscles.
